Terms of Use
Last updated: 22 May 2026
In short: Chaipa is a media player. It does not provide, host, sell or resell any television channels, films, series, streams or other content. You bring your own legal playlist. You are responsible for the sources you choose to use.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Chaipa application ("Chaipa", the "App") and the website at chaipa.net (the "Site"), together the "Service". By installing, accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What Chaipa is — and what it is not
Chaipa is a software media player for Android TV. Its purpose is to read and play media playlists that you provide, in the M3U / M3U Plus or Xtream Codes formats, and to present them with a modern interface, an electronic programme guide and related convenience features.
Chaipa is content-neutral. It does not include, supply, host, stream, broadcast, sell, resell, aggregate or recommend any channels, films, series, live streams or other audiovisual content. It ships with no playlists and no media. It functions like a general-purpose media player or a web browser: it opens and plays only the sources that you, the user, choose to add.
3. Licence to use the App
Subject to these Terms, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own private, non-commercial use. You may not sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the App, nor circumvent any technical limitations, except to the extent such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law.
4. Your responsibilities and acceptable use
You are solely responsible for the playlists, links, accounts, credentials and other sources you load into Chaipa, and for ensuring that your use of any such source is lawful in your jurisdiction. By using the Service you represent and warrant that:
- you will only use content and sources that you are legally entitled to access;
- you will not use the Service to access, copy, distribute or facilitate access to content that infringes copyright or other rights;
- you will comply with all laws and with the terms of any third-party service or provider you connect to;
- you will not use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose.
We do not monitor, control or have any knowledge of the sources you choose to use.
5. Subscriptions, third-party content and providers
Chaipa Premium (our optional subscription)
The App is free. Chaipa Premium is an optional subscription that unlocks additional enrichment features within the App — the full 7-day TV guide, multi-day catch-up / replay and replay search. Premium provides, hosts and distributes no channels, streams or content, and is independent of any third-party IPTV subscription.
Pricing: $0.99 USD per month or $9.99 USD per year. A 30-day free trial, with no payment card required, is offered; at its end, access automatically returns to the free version unless you subscribe. The subscription is billed and managed by Google Play, renews automatically at the end of each period and can be cancelled at any time from your Google Play account (Subscriptions); Premium access is kept until the end of the period already paid for. Prices are shown in your local currency at checkout and may vary by region and applicable taxes. Payments are subject to the Google Play terms; any refunds are governed by Google Play's policy and by your mandatory consumer rights.
Third-party subscriptions and services
Any IPTV subscription, playlist, server, content provider or other third-party service you use with Chaipa is provided by a third party and is entirely independent of us. We are not a party to, and accept no responsibility for, your relationship with any such third party, the availability or legality of their content, or the accuracy of any metadata, programme guide or artwork obtained from them or from optional sources such as community contributions or third-party metadata databases. Optional enrichment features (for example artwork or programme-guide data) are provided on an "as is" basis.
6. Intellectual property
The App, the Site, and their original software, design, text, graphics and the "Chaipa" name and logo are protected by intellectual-property laws. All trademarks, service marks, channel names, logos and content accessed through playlists you load belong to their respective owners and are not affiliated with or endorsed by us. References to other applications or services are nominative only.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability or uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or compatible with any particular source, device or network.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue or profits, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, or your use of any third-party content or source. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Copyright and complaints
Chaipa hosts no content and stores no playlists on our servers. Because we do not control the sources you load, complaints about specific channels, streams or media should be directed to the relevant content provider or playlist operator. If you believe that the App or the Site itself (our own software, text or graphics) infringes your rights, contact us at chaipa@ciriac.com with sufficient detail to identify the material, and we will respond promptly.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what limited data the Service handles.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are provided on a general, international basis. Where a mandatory governing law applies to you as a consumer, that law and your local consumer-protection rights are unaffected. Any disputes should first be raised with us directly so we can try to resolve them amicably.
