Step by step

Six steps on your Fire TV

Everything happens on the TV, with the remote. Allow about two minutes, plus the download time.

Install Downloader

From the Fire TV home screen, open Search (the magnifying glass, under Find), type Downloader, select the app by AFTVnews, then choose Get or Download. It's free.

Allow Downloader to install apps

Open Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → Install unknown apps and turn Downloader on. No Developer Options? Go to My Fire TV → About, highlight the device name and press the select button (the center of the navigation ring) 7 times. Then press Back: Developer Options now appears under My Fire TV.

Enter the code

Open Downloader (allow file access if it asks). In the address field of its home screen, type 2956879 and select Go. A redirect page shows the address www.chaipa.net/chaipa.apk for a few seconds. Don't press anything — the download starts on its own.

Install Chaipa

When the download finishes (a little over 100 MB), the install screen opens: select Install. Once it's done, select Done to return to Downloader.

Delete the installer file

Downloader offers to remove the file you just downloaded: select Delete and confirm if asked. The file is no longer needed, and you get the storage back.

Open Chaipa

Chaipa is now in your apps (press and hold the Home button, then select Apps). On first launch, add your M3U playlist or your Xtream Codes account — or try the free demo. 30 days of Premium are included.

Fire TV Sticks running Vega OS — the Fire TV Stick 4K Select (2025) and the Vega models released since — can't install Android apps, so this method doesn't work on them.

Troubleshooting

If something doesn't work

The code doesn't work
Check the seven digits: 2956879, with nothing before or after. You can also type the address www.chaipa.net/chaipa.apk in the same field instead of the code.
“App not installed”
Two common causes. Not enough storage: uninstall an app you no longer use, or delete old files from Downloader's Files tab. Or Chaipa is already installed from Google Play on this device: the two versions can't replace each other, so keep the Google Play one.
I can't find Developer Options
On recent Fire TV devices the menu is hidden. Go to Settings → My Fire TV → About, highlight the device name and press the select button 7 times, until a message confirms you are a developer. Developer Options then appears under My Fire TV.
Is my Fire TV Stick compatible?
Yes, if it runs Fire OS, which is the case for most Fire TV Sticks, the Fire TV Cube and Fire TV smart TVs. Sticks running Vega OS — the Fire TV Stick 4K Select (2025) and the Vega models released since — don't run Android apps, so Chaipa can't be installed on them.
Is it safe? Is it legal?
The file comes straight from chaipa.net, the official site — the redirect page shows that address before the download. Chaipa is a media player: it provides no channels and no content; you add your own legal playlists. More on legal IPTV.
What about the Amazon Appstore?
An Amazon Appstore release is in the works. Until then, installing with Downloader gives you the same app.
