Step by step

Four steps, no login

Everything happens on the TV, with the remote. Allow three minutes.

Connect the device to your Init7 line

The TV or box running Chaipa must use your Init7 internet connection, over Wi-Fi or cable. Init7 only serves its channels inside its own network: from another connection they won't start.

Add the TV7 playlist

In Chaipa, choose M3U URL and enter https://api.init7.net/tvchannels.m3u?rp=true — when the app first opens, or in Settings if you already have a playlist. This is the HLS version of the playlist: it also works over Wi-Fi, with no router setup.

Switch the LIVE player to VLC

Open Settings → Playback and, under LIVE player, choose VLC. The change applies right away, even during playback.

Pick a channel

Open Live TV: the TV7 channels are grouped by language. Add your favourites to Favorites to find them in one click.

Chaipa not installed yet? Get it on Google Play, the Amazon Appstore or with Downloader.

Troubleshooting

If something goes wrong

The playlist loads but no channel starts
Make sure the device really uses your Init7 connection, not a hotspot or a VPN: the channels are only served to Init7 connections. Also check that the LIVE player is set to VLC.
What about the multicast playlist?
Init7 also publishes a multicast playlist (https://api.init7.net/tvchannels.m3u). It needs a router set up for multicast and, according to Init7, usually only works over Ethernet. The HLS playlist in this guide avoids that setup — it's the one we recommend.
Does it work away from home?
No. Init7 only serves TV7 inside its own network: away from your connection the channels aren't reachable.
The channel list changed
Chaipa loads the playlist from Init7's address: when Init7 changes its lineup, Chaipa picks up the new list at the next playlist refresh.
Is this legal?
Yes. Init7 provides these playlists so its customers can watch TV7 with the player of their choice (Init7 FAQ). Chaipa is a player and provides no channels. Learn more about legal IPTV.
